[Photo] LG gets CTA certification for 8K UHD TVs before Samsung

On Dec. 15, LG Electronics announced that it had received a certification from the US Consumer Technology Association (CTA) for its line of 8K ultra high-definition (UHD) TVs. CTA hosts the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), an annual trade show that focuses on consumer electronics. LG announced that it will apply its 8K UHD technology and the CTA certification to products starting next year. The certification comes amid a fierce dispute with Samsung Electronics over TV-related patents. (provided by LG Electronics)
