South Korea’s military, which marked its 70th anniversary this year, has produced its first female flight squadron leaders. Squadron leaders in the South Korean air force are responsible for leading operations and training pilots, making it a significant leadership role. The squadron leaders are Air Force lieutenant colonels Pyeon Bo-ra, Park Ji-yeon, and Jang Se-jin.
